Use of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM)
We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), and Google Tag Manager to manage website tags. Google Analytics 4 allows us to analyze user behavior on our website to improve our services.
IP Anonymization: Your IP address is anonymized before processing, preventing any direct association with an individual.
Data Processing: Processing is based on your consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Collected data is typically transferred to Google servers in the USA. We have entered into Standard Contractual Clauses with Google to ensure an adequate level of data protection. These clauses are contractual agreements to safeguard your data when transferred to third countries.
Consent: Google Analytics is activated only with your explicit consent through our consent management tool (a tool to manage your privacy preferences on our website). You can withdraw your consent at any time, effective for the future, by adjusting the settings in the consent banner. Alternatively, you can disable tracking tools like Google Analytics in your browser settings.
Data Processing Agreement: We have a data processing agreement with Google according to Art. 28 GDPR, which governs the compliant use of Google Analytics 4.
Use of the Meta Pixel
We use the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (“Meta”) to measure the effectiveness of our Facebook ads and serve targeted advertising. This pixel tracks user behavior after clicking on a Facebook ad.
Data Transfer: Collected data is transferred to Meta servers in the USA. Meta is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, ensuring an adequate level of data protection.
Consent and Objection: The Meta Pixel is only activated with your explicit consent through our consent management tool. You can withdraw your consent at any time by adjusting the settings in the consent banner. Additionally, you can adjust data processing settings in your Facebook account or disable tracking options in your browser or app settings.
Data Processing Agreement: We have entered into a data processing agreement with Meta in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR to ensure compliant use of the pixel.
Use of MailChimp for Newsletter Distribution
We use the MailChimp service, operated by The Rocket Science Group LLC, USA, to send our newsletter. MailChimp stores and processes the data you provide (e.g., email address, name) for the purpose of sending the newsletter.
Data Processing and Purpose: Processing is based on your consent under Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Your data is used solely for sending the newsletter.
Data Transfer and Protection Measures: Data is transferred to MailChimp servers in the USA. MailChimp is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, ensuring an adequate level of data protection. Additionally, we have entered into Standard Contractual Clauses with MailChimp to ensure data protection compliance. MailChimp acts as a data processor according to Art. 28 GDPR.
Withdrawal of Consent: You may withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter at any time by using the unsubscribe link provided in each newsletter or by contacting us directly. Once consent is withdrawn, your data will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list.
Your Rights
You have the right to request access to your personal data processed by us (Art. 15 GDPR), the right to rectify incorrect data (Art. 16 GDPR), the right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), the right to restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR), and the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
Furthermore, you have the right to withdraw any consent granted at any time, effective for the future (Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR).
If you believe that your data has been processed unlawfully, you have the right to file a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
